Tamra's Radical SAM Pin - 50% of profits goes to American Cancer Society

One radical SAM pin

This month, d-Orbital Games is highlighting Tamra Blue (Twitter: @TamraBlue3) and her Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (D.E.I.J.) social networking company.

Tamra is a chemistry Ph.D. candidate at Emory University. She researches the structural and catalytic characteristics of industrially and pharmaceutically relevant metalloenzymes with the goal of creating green production alternatives to the synthesis of everyday medicine.

Outside of the lab, Tamra is creating a platform designed to aid STEM-specific D.E.I.J. leaders with expert consultants and a network of peers. Tamra’s recent publication in Nature Reviews describes her efforts to increase representations from diverse voices in the faculty hiring processes at Emory. Her goal is to create an equitable experience for all students wishing to obtain a STEM degree that does not rely on creating an undue burden on underrepresented students and faculty.

With your purchase of Tamra’s Radical SAM Pin representing SuiB from Streptococcus suis, d-Orbital Games will be donating 50 percent of the pin profit to the American Cancer Society. We hope to highlight members within our science community that do fantastic work, both inside and outside of the laboratory.  Thank you for supporting our work and others with your pin purchase
